The CDMI held its annual Spring Symposium June 13-14, 2023, a hybrid event at Ohio State University and via Zoom. The event featured existing project presentations from faculty at UCSF, University of Toledo, and Ohio State University.
We were delighted to have over fifty attendees, including faculty, Industry Advisory Board (IAB) members, students, and staff from the National Science Foundation (NSF). Discussions centered around various initiatives aimed at socializing the potential partnership between NSF and the Back Pain Consortium (BACPAC) Research Program to shape project ideas that leverage BACPAC assets. These efforts are intended to develop a stakeholder network to enhance the work being undertaken by healthcare providers and industry members alike.
We extend a special thank you to two of our IAB members, Ryan Bond, Chief Strategy Officer of Aclarion and Christopher Hughes, founding member of Atlas Performance Technologies, for their insightful presentations on their respective companies and the value they get out of being part of CDMI. We would also like to thank keynote speaker, Dr. Joshua Hagen, Director of the Human Performance Collaborative at OSU, who delivered a talk on “Human Monitoring and Augmentation”, focusing on his work with wearables that monitor people both in the performance and health world.
Please save the date for the 2023 Fall Symposium, tentatively scheduled for October 16-17, 2023 in San Francisco, CA and via Zoom. Stay tuned for event details and registration information on our website.
